I went through a long journey from obesity class 3 to losing 45kg and being in a normal range. I’ve achieved that by changing my lifestyle, working out at the gym and improving my relationship with food. The gym turned into my hobby, and I decided to switch my hobby to my job to help others achieve their goals and be their mentor and motivator! I’m currently working at my local gym as a Fitness Instructor and actively studying towards my level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
My advice for anyone who would like to become a health and fitness pro would be just GO FOR IT.
If you feel like you want to help others live a healthy lifestyle then just do it!

I have never been into the whole health and fitness industry. I have gone through many diets and workouts in my teen years but never held onto them for a long time. The moment in my life when I gained a lot of weight within a short period of time changed my life and point of view. That was when I decided to take matters into my own hands and reach my goals. It took me 4 years to be where I am right now, exploring different diets, workouts, daily activities and hobbies. This year I decided to share my progress and my story with others to help them go through their fitness journey and reach their goals to become who they truly want to be. I have changed my career from an Assistant Manager in the building industry to becoming a Fitness Instructor and sharing my story on social media.
When I decided to change my career, I did a lot of research to decide who I wanted to study with. There have been a lot of companies providing different benefits, but what made me decide to go with Future Fit was that I could study on my own time with no restrictions; I was happy with the payment terms they have in place and also from a first phone call they were very professional and had very good reviews. I have decided to take a full pack of Levels 2, 3 and 4 to be fully qualified and gain all the knowledge that they offer. I was surprised by going to my workshop as they were super fun and helpful; I gained so much knowledge and met amazing people! I enjoyed them so much, and even though I’ve been a bit stressed and unsure of what to expect, I would always be very satisfied, happy and excited!
Throughout my fitness journey, I’ve been proud of reaching all my short-term and long-term goals, but I was the happiest when I reached my dream weight. Right now, I am so proud that I’ve carried on and gone through all ups and downs but never actually quit, and eventually got to the place I am in right now. I am proud that I can now help other people go through their fitness journey and be their support. I am proud that when I set myself a goal, I will do everything to reach it by working hard towards it and motivating myself with already-reached results.
I love to cook many different things, but I think I would have to say my favourite is a plant-based curry. I went plant-based in 2017 and learned a lot of different techniques and ways to cook. I would say curry is my favourite as it’s full of different flavours and spices and you could make many different varieties of it! Not only you could make different types of curry, but you can also eat it with different add-ons, like rice, naan bread or just on its own, and it’s always so delicious!

If you feel like you want to help others live a healthy lifestyle then just do it! There are so many benefits to it and still, a lot of people are not aware of them. So us fitness professionals need to go out there and educate others to start becoming better, healthier and fitter versions of themselves to live a long, happy and healthy life! When I first started I only had basic knowledge, and right now I learn every day about something new! The fitness industry is so big and so interesting that everyone will definitely find something for themselves!
I am proud to be a part of Future Fit, as it has changed my life completely. Not only have I decided to educate myself and change my career, but I’ve also developed other skills, such as confidence. After the lockdown, I haven’t been socialising with other people much hence my confidence went down, but being a part of Future Fit has changed it. By going to my practical workshops, socialising with the Future Fit family and going to my practical assessments, my confidence has been boosted so much, and I am very grateful for that!
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to explore the beauty of Thailand. Thailand is #1 on my bucket list as it’s got charming nature and pristine beaches, and there’s just something special about this country. I would love to see their perfect tropical islands, lush jungles and global atmosphere! I also love their delicious food and know you must go there to experience real Thai cuisine. Not only it’s a beautiful place to visit but also very affordable. Also, the weather there is amazing, and it’s hot all year round, which makes perfect holiday weather!
