Gordon Fearn, a Tae Kwon Do champion, a coach to the England TKD Team, a CrossFit and Hyrox gym owner, and a proud Dad, is studying Level 5 Nutrition to enhance his understanding and better support his clients.
At the age of 9, I started the Korean Martial art of Tae Kwon Do, I got my Black belt in 1992. I was always shy and not very sporty but I was totally hooked on Tae Kwon Do, which in turn improved my confidence and fitness levels. At the age of 16, I fought internationally in TKD then in 1997 I made the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain National Team (T.A.G.B), and I competed all over the World. I became the captain of the team in 2002 and retired from competing in 2014 when I stepped away as the current World and European Champion.
During this time I built my Tae Kwon Do schools in Dorset where I have several hundred students and teach full time from 3 years old to 60 years old. When I retired from competing I wanted to understand nutrition more as it was a big part of my competitive career, so! I found Future Fit and am a level 3 Nutrition advisor currently studying level 4.
I then really got into getting in better shape so I found CrossFit and Hyrox. I competed in the Hyrox World Champs in Las Vegas and am currently training for the European CrossFit Championships. So as you can see Fitness and Health is a big part of my life.
Fast forward to 2023 at the age of 46, I am a 7th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a Coach to the England TKD Team, a CrossFit and Hyrox gym owner, a proud Dad to my Son and still compete a little.

I chose Future Fit because there are a variety of courses to choose from and the fact that they are recognised & accredited courses. They are flexible which is very helpful with my crazy day to day schedules, and I find the courses fun with plenty of content. The tutors and support team are very helpful which is amazing when you need them.

I started training at the age of 9, little did I know I was starting my career in the health and fitness industry. It was like it was meant to be.
Mexican food, so tasty. I love cooking from scratch
Fitness has given me confidence and drive when I had very little when I was young. It’s opened so many doors to lots of things and I enjoy helping others change their life with fitness.
Rocky, I love the underdog story. When people doubt you but you don’t doubt yourself. Making hard work pay off and not needing to shout about it by staying humble and letting the results do the talking.
I can’t pin point one – a kicking and punching workout, any CrossFit workout and a good old sweat fest.
Not nervous no, excited yes!
Speed. like the Flash. I’d get so much more done
My advice is have a plan that is realistic and achievable. The plan might change along the way and get bigger and better but have a plan to keep you focused. Then go for it, believe in yourself and work hard.
