I have been a personal trainer for over 12 years, during this time I have successfully co-owned a personal training studio and a small membership gym. I am now the Founder and CEO of MUVE which is an online booking platform and business management tool for wellbeing professionals.
My advice to anyone looking to enter the fitness, nutrition and wellness industry is to be available and flexible while building your client base and focus on building genuine relationships within your community and facility.

My dream growing up was to become a professional footballer. I played for Manchester City football club from the age of 12 until I was 19 but didn’t quite manage to break through into the 1st team. Fitness was a huge part of my game and when I realised that it wasn’t meant to be, a career in the fitness industry was the next best thing for me.
Training with Future Fit was great. At the time I was able to work through the course in my own time at my own pace which allowed me to work and continue to play semi professional football. The teachers were brilliant and I really enjoyed the workshops too, I actually met my business partner and best mate Jimmy on one of the workshops over 12 years ago.
When starting out as a personal trainer the aim was to provide a great service and help individuals to improve their fitness and reach their goals, which I have been privileged to do over the last 10 years. The part of my fitness journey I am most proud of is the community within our gym we have created, the people we have connected with and the friendships with clients, members and colleagues I have made.
My favourite thing to cook is a roast chicken dinner with roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, gravy and Yorkshire puddings. I also like to cook meatballs and pasta in tomato sauce because my boys are guaranteed to eat it. (We blend mushrooms and spinach into the sauce too).
My advice to anyone looking to enter the fitness, nutrition and wellness industry is to be available and flexible while building your client base and focus on building genuine relationships within your community and facility.
I am proud to be a part of Future Fit because our goals and values are aligned. Future Fit gave me the tools and support I needed to have a successful career in the fitness industry and we hope MUVE can help wellbeing professionals in the same way.
