You will usually be self employed and can earn between £20 and £40 per hour working on a 1-2-1 basis or up to £80 per hour working with small groups. As they are high in demand, becoming a Pilates Teacher is a very lucrative career, with one Mat Pilates class earning a Teacher between £30 to £50 per hour (London) or £20 to £30 per hour (rest of UK). When you think of how many classes you could fit into a week, and the enjoyment you get from your work, it really is a great career move!
For a 1-hour Exercise to Music class working for a gym, you can earn approximately; £30 to £40 per hour (London), £15 to £30 per hour (rest of UK). If you hire your own hall or studio you can charge £3.50 to £6 per person, so for a class of 15, that would be £50 to £90 per class.
